Monthly Wrap Up: August 2020
August went away pretty quickly. I had a 2 weeks long vacation, 1 of which I spent in the countryside which was a nice break. I also read 3 books that week which is not something that happens to me a lot these days. But since we came home my sleeping went to shit and I'm still trying to catch up to myself and not feel like a train went through me... Anyway, vacation did not mean I was being lazy.

The Questioning: JC Kang
The Questioning is where everything gets upside down. Every month I invite one author and one blogger, who showed me great support during my blogging life. Then I push them waaaaay out of their comfort zones. Authors has become interrogators and Bloggers get interrogated. Rest assured, no one gets hurt (much) and everyone has fun (eventually). Today it's JC Kang's turn!

Thorn of the Night Blossoms by JC Kang
Thorn of the Night Blossoms is a good entry point into JC Kang's world. Whether you only just get to know the Dragon Songs Saga series or you already read one the books and you are interested to learn more about Jie's past, you won't be disappointed.

What’s to come? – May 2019
Exciting and at the same time terrifying things are happening to me these days and I can't wait to see where things lead me. May probably will be a slow reading month as a lot of things are going on, so bear with me. On the other hand, I'll catch up with reviews, so yay!

Monthly Wrap Up: December 2018
I'm actually happy November is behind us. It was an emotional roller coaster ride from start to finish. Fortunately both starting and ending on a good note - if I want to go with my roller coaster analogy, the cart arrived to the same spot from where it had taken off - so now I can fully concentrate on December and look forward to the coming Christmas. For the first time in many years I'm really excited about the holidays. But more about that in the Sneak Peek post in a few days. Let's see what happened on my blog in November:

Masters of Deception by JC Kang
For such a character heavy story this had a very complicated plot underneath. It reminded me of Oceans Eleven, not because there was a heist, but for that art of balancing groups of people, secret motivations, and character development through conversations and action as this big involved plot unfolds underneath. It takes some serious talent to balance all of that and keep things moving.
