SPFBO 5 Finals

Welcome to my SPFBO 5 Finals page!

Find my page of Phase 1 here where you can find links to everything we’ve done so far

Let’s get the formalities out of the way first:

What is SPFBO?

The Self-Published Fantasy Blog Off is hosted by none other than Mark Lawrence, author of The Broken Empire, The Red Queen’s War, The Book of Ancestor and Impossible Times trilogies. 300 books compete, judged by 10 blogs and at the end of 10 long, bloody months 1 winner will emerge. You can find every detail on Mark’s SPFBO page along with the process of all 10 blogs┬áin Phase 1.

What do I have to do with SPFBO?

I’m extremely excited that this year my blog is among the big 10! I had a great experience judging for Fantasy Book Review last year, but it’s nothing compared to the fact that I can lead my own team! Jen, Belle, Nick and me will be RockStarlit BookAsylum’s judging team and we are all very happy to be here. Find out more about us and how we are going to do things in this Introduction post!

How are we going to go in the Finals?

Well, pretty much the same as we did in Phase 1. All four of us – Jen, Belle, Nick and myself – will read the finalists. In case some of us can’t or don’t want to read a finalist, then we’ll go with 3 ratings/book. We’ll try to have at least 3 reviews for every finalist, and our average will be our final score. Once we’ll have all reviews done, I’ll get them on the blog under one post, so please check this page for official ratings and reviews on our part!

The titles are linked to the book’s original reviews by their blogs who rolled them forward as finalist.
