I’m really happy to let you know that Steven McKinnon was kind enough to ask me to take part in his cover reveal. My first response was: hell yeah! I’ve been following his career ever since I’ve read Symphony of the Wind as part of SPFBO. It was, in fact Fantasy Book Review’s finalist and we all loved it.
The sequel, Wrath of Storms will be released on August 8th!
Symphony of the Wind is Steven McKinnon’s debut fantasy novel, and is Book One of The Raincatcher’s Ballad. The Fury Yet To Come is a prequel novella set in the same world.
His first book — the true-life tale Boldly Going Nowhere — was released in 2015. In the same year, his short story, TheVividarium, was featured in anthology dedicated to Sir Terry Pratchett, entitled In Memory, for which all proceeds go to Alzheimer’s UK.
Steven is 32 years old, and was born in the bathroom of a Glasgow flat in the year 1986.
He has since moved out.
The design was made by James Egan at BookFly Design. Check out their other works on their website!
A girl with terrifying powers. An assassin battling his bloodlust. And an ancient evil stirring…
Serena’s fearsome power is growing stronger. After conning her way aboard a luxury airship in search of clues about her past, she walks straight into a sky pirate’s trap. But after her powers are unleashed and apocalyptic visions invade her mind, Serena realises the greatest threat may be herself…
As Damien Fieri struggles against his bloodlust, connections in high places conspire to keep his killer instincts sharp. He’d love to confront the clandestine forces that turned him into a living weapon—but can he find a way to do it that doesn’t shed more blood?
Can Serena and Damien bend their powers for good, or will they become dangerous pawns in a much deadlier game?
Wrath of Storms is the second book in The Raincatcher’s Ballad epic fantasy series. If you like gritty adventure, dangerous magic, and page-turning battles, then you’ll love Steven McKinnon’s expansive saga.
The Giveaway and Cover Reveal Contest Winner
I’ve run a little game on Twitter this week where I shared a part of the cover and asked people to guess who might be the author. Thanks everyone who participated! I draw 2 winners – in case one of them won’t response or won’t be able to receive their copy of Wrath of Storms – with the help of an online random picker.
And our winner is Wayne!
Congrats and I’ll be in touch with you soon!
