Music Monday: Riot by Three Days Grace

Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. You pick a song and/or video and share it on Monday.

Thoughts and other ramblings

A few weeks ago I’ve seen Three Days Grace for the first time. They played several fan favorites from their early years, such as I Hate Everything About You – which was the high point of the night – Time of Dying, Home, Pain, Get out Alive and at the end of the set, Riot. Which of course ended the show with a bang. Riot was always one of my favorites. At one point I considered something related to it tattooed on myself. In the end I didn’t get around to do it. It’s a great song to listen to when you are down and want to remember you are not alone, or when you need to be pumped up, or you are just generally angry. It works well with a lot of emotions.

Lyrics

If you feel so empty
So used up, so let down
If you feel so angry
So ripped off so stepped on
You’re not the only one
Refusing to back down
You’re not the only one
So get up

Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot
Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot

If you feel so filthy
So dirty so fucked up
If you feel so walked on
So painful so pissed off
You’re not the only one
Refusing to go down
You’re not the only one
So get up

Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot
Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot

If you feel so empty
So used up, so let down
If you feel so angry
Just get up

Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot
Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot
Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot
Let’s start a riot, a riot
Let’s start a riot
