Music Diggin’ Friday: August 10th

Since we already have Music Monday courtesy to Drew at The Tattooed Book Geek, I hereby declare, that Music Diggin’ Friday is a thing from now on.

New singles/videos

Get Up by Shinedown

Shinedown released yet another song from their latest album, Attention, Attention. This one was one of my early favorites from the album and I’m happy they made a single of it. Brent told in a few interviews that Get Up was written about Eric Bass, who fights with depression. This was one of the early songs they’ve written, which set the tone, and decided the album will be a concept one. The album’s main topic is depression, addiction, and all the feelings accompanying that. I’ve talked about this a lot of other things with drummer Barry Kerch in this interview.

Skyman by Bad Touch

Okay, this song just popped up on my feed. Now, this is a song which really start a friday night party. Note to self: check this band out over the weekend. Apparently, their new album comes out in October and it’s titled Shake a Leg.

Can You Forgive Me by King Creature

I never heard about King Creature before, found them while browsing for new releases. They seem interesting, and although this is a slower song, based on their getup I’m sure they have some heavier stuff too.

Never Fade by Alice in Chains

Alice in Chains. Because I know there are several people who like them. Apparently they released another new song today.

365 by Amaranthe

This is a band I don’t know where to put. The female vocalist is quite good, but I never really understood why do they mix it with some dude with heavy metal vocals. Alas, a lot of people like them, so here it goes.

Have a rockin’ friday and weekend ya’ll! 🙂
