Sneak Peek

What’s to come? – August sneak peek

I’m so excited! August will be fun. SPFBO had started yesterday and I decided to shake up my schedule a bit so I could fit some of my picks of the FBR lot in as soon as I can, so I’ll have time to read our semi-finalists toward the end of the year. Maybe it’s not a surprise by now, but I’m taking part in the competition as advisor for Fantasy Book Review. Soon I’ll have my own SPFBO page up here on the blog and have some other plans in the making too regarding our 30 books 🙂

Books I plan to read in August

Books I plan to review in addition to the ones above

Other bookish plans

Interview

Right now I have one interview in the making, although it doesn’t mean I won’t end up with another one or two, regarding the rate I’m going with these.

Author Spotlight

As in July, in August I also plan to host several authors on my blog. The following people will appear (according to plans) with articles/excerpts/short stories. I don’t tell which, everyone needs some mystery in their lives 😉

  • Richard Nell
  • Ulff Lehmann
  • Michael R. Baker
  • M.L. Spencer
  • Andy Peloquin
  • Keith McArdle

Albums I’m looking forward to get my hands on

  • August 3rd: A Deeper Cut by The Temperance Movement
  • August 31th: Decade II by The Veer Union, Grainsville by Steve ‘n’ Seagulls

Concerts I’m attending

  • August 13th: Goo Goo Dolls

Other plans

In preparation of SPFBO4 I plan to set up a new page on my blog dedicated to the competition, where I’ll link my reviews of the entrants, keep track of FBR’s (and my) progress, share articles or other stuff related. I have a few plans, so keep your eyes open!

I will also take a nice vacation which means I’ll stay at home in my sleeping Def Leppard T-shirt, blasting music as loud as I can – my parents will be away, yay! – and do the bare minimum to stay alive. And read. A lot. I might also go to where my parents will be for the weekend so I can have some kind of summer vacation. And the Goo Goo Dolls concert will be in that week too. I might have to dress up and move after all, *sigh* It’ll be nice not to pretend to work while actually working on my blog posts, lol.

Well, I think that’s it. Follow me if you like either on twitter, facebook, or instagram (I don’t have much conent on that platform yet)!
